Case Synopsis

The Synopsis section of a case includes information relating to the disposition of the case. It includes optional features to meet the needs of your organization.

A collapsible card exists for each Issue associated to a case. A case can have up to five issues. Each collapsible card contains Issue Name, Subcategories, Participant, and Outcomes and Action Taken. Custom Fields may be added to this section, therefore may vary according to the organization.

Note: The Multiple Issues and Outcomes feature can be enabled by tier. For more information, contact NAVEX Customer Support by submitting a request in the Community.

Editing Synopsis

Each case can have up to five different Outcomes and Action Taken. The options are set by your organization.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Cases > All Cases.
  2. Select the desired case.
  3. From the case menu, select Synopsis.
  4. Click , and then do the following for each collapsible card:
    • For Outcome, select the appropriate option from the available list for each related issue. 
    • For Action taken, select the appropriate option from the available list for each related issue.
    • For Participants, select Edit Results to modify the participant results. Click Save and close the dialogue box.

      Important: Your participant updates appear once you submit the Synopsis page. The updates are also available in the Participants tab.

    • For Potential Next Steps, type a description of the next steps taken for the case.
    • For Synopsis Notes, type any details regarding the outcome or action taken.
  5. Click Submit.
