Customizing Digital Intake Appearance

To customize the appearance of the EthicsPoint Incident Management intake site, you can use the options available in Intake Settings to modify the text of the Data Privacy Notice. Additionally, as system administrator you can choose the countries where reporting must be prevented, the Data Privacy Notice must be provided, and a Display Message must be shown.

Note: Some Intake Settings, such as the Welcome Page text, Themes, and the Thank You Page settings are managed in NAVEX One platform. The EthicsPoint System Admin needs the NAVEX One Admin Settings role in NAVEX One.

Customize Data Privacy Notice

The Data Privacy Notice contains the text that displays when a reporter selects a location that requires a data privacy notice. The same data privacy notice appears for each country configured to use it. NAVEX provides a default Data Privacy Notice that you can customize to better align with the requirements of your program or any current or new laws, regulations or guidelines.

Important: This is not the same Data Privacy Message on your company's Web Intake Site. To edit that message, contact NAVEX Customer Support by submitting a request in the Community

  1. Navigate to NAVEX Global Admin Settings.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Intake Settings > Data Privacy Notice.
  3. From the Working Language list, select a language.
  4. In the Data Privacy Notice box, type a notice using the formatting options available in the rich text editor toolbar. EthicsPoint supports markdown language syntax, which means you can use single asterisk for italic (*italic*), double asterisks for bold (**bold**), triple asterisks for bold and italic (***bold and italic***), inline code ('inline code'), code blocks (""), and more.
  5. Click Save.

Customize Thank You Page Settings

  1. Navigate to NAVEX Global Admin Settings.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Intake Settings > Thank You Page.
  3. From the Workflow list, select File a Report or Ask A Question. The default text that appears in the text editor box changes depending on the selected choice.
  4. From the Working Language list, select a language.

    Note: The message is specific to the language you select.

  5. In the Thank You Message for Digital Intake box, type a message using the formatting options available in the rich text editor toolbar. EthicsPoint supports markdown language syntax, which means you can use single asterisk for italic (*italic*), double asterisks for bold (**bold**), triple asterisks for bold and italic (***bold and italic***), inline code ('inline code'), code blocks (""), and more.
  6. Click Save.

Customize Countries Settings

The system displays a list of countries found in your company's locations. You choose the countries where reporting must be prevented, the Data Privacy Notice must be provided, and countries where a Display Message must be shown.

Important: This is not the same configuration used on your company's Web Intake Site. To make similar changes, contact NAVEX Customer Support by submitting a request in the Community

  1. Navigate to NAVEX Global Admin Settings.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Intake Settings > Countries.
  3. Select Allow incident reporter to choose "Other Location", to allow a reporter who is unable to find a location, to select "Other Location". To disable, clear the option.
  4. For Country Settings, next to the country name, do any of the following:
    • In the Prevent Reporting column, select the country that must have reporting prevented.
    • In the Data Privacy Notice column, select the country that must have this notice provided.
    • For the Display Message list, select a message, and then select the Display Message checkbox to require that message be shown.
  5. Click Save.
