Use the Messages Tab in the Third Party Details Page
In Third-Party Screening & Monitoring, you can send messages to and receive messages from representatives of Pacific Strategies and Assessments (PSA). This communication capability helps you, in cooperation with a PSA representative, determine the appropriate scope for reports that contain analyst activity. Additionally, you can correspond with third party contacts or business sponsors after a third party or business sponsor interview/questionnaire has been requested, as that opens up messaging for that particular third party. So, an interview/questionnaire must be requested first before being able to send a message to either a third party contact or business sponsor. When a third party contact or business sponsor initiates a message, it goes to the third party Owner, Approver, and Requester without exposing their email addresses.
Note: To see message threads for all third parties you have access to, use the Messages feature (see Use My Messages).
- From the sidebar menu, click Third Parties.
Note: You can click
in the Third-Party Screening & Monitoring header to hide the sidebar menu and then again to display it (i.e., use as a hide/show menu toggle).
- Find and click a third party's name, and then click the Messages tab.
- Do any of the following:
- Add a message.
- Read a message and mark it as read.
- Reply to a message.
Add a Message
- In the Messages tab, click

- From the Send To drop-down list, select whether to send a message to PSA Analysts, Third Party Contact, or Business Sponsor.
Note: Level 2 users may not be able to message a PSA Analyst due to permission restrictions.
- If Third Party Contact is selected, use the Third Party Contact drop-down list to select the contact's email address.
Note: If message is initiated from the Messages List, you must first search for and select the third party, and then the Third Party Contact.
- If Business Sponsor is selected, the Business Sponsor email will display and populate automatically.

- Enter a Subject.
- Type in the Message Content.
- (Optional) To attach a file, do one of the following:
- Click
, find and click the file you want to upload, and then click Open.
- Open Windows Explorer, find the file you want to upload, and then drag and drop the file into the specified area (Drag and drop your attachment here).
- Click Send.
Whenever a message is sent, the following people receive an email notification (with the exception of the person sending the message):
- Message thread initiator
- All appropriate PSA analysts (If PSA Analysts was selected)
- Third party owner
- Third party approver
- Third party contact (If third party contact was selected)
- Business Sponsor (if Business Sponsor was selected)
Read a Message
A new message will appear in bold. Click the Subject link to read all messages related to the subject thread.
The message thread opens in a new window.
If the message thread has an attached file, click the file name to download and open the file.
Reply to a Message
- In the Reply text box, type in your message.
- (Optional) To attach a file, use
to select the file, or drag a file from Windows Explorer onto the Drag and drop your attachment here box.
Tip: You can click the X to remove the attachment.
- Click Send.
